PROBLEM

Keraton Yogyakarta receives thousands of local and international visitors a year, with information and ticketing still running on printed material and manual processes. The brief was to design what a visitor-facing mobile app for the site should be.

My Role

UI/UX Designer and Prototype Developer

Responsibilities

A high-fidelity mobile design in Figma covering five screens: Home, News, Events, Tickets and Support, including domestic and foreign pricing tiers and adult and child categorisation in the ticketing flow
A React Native prototype implementing the five screen structures against mock data, built to test the navigation model rather than to ship

Key decisions

Design decisions balanced the cultural identity of the institution against standard mobile UX conventions, which was the central tension in the brief
