Problem

PROBLEM

JejakBaduy is a travel agency specialising in immersive tours to the Baduy region, one of Indonesia's most preserved cultural areas. The brief: build a website that captures that cultural gravity while giving the agency full control over their own content.

A complete multi-page website built from scratch for a real client. 10 pages covering the full visitor journey: home, trip packages (private and public, 1-day and 2-day), package details, About Baduy cultural context, About Us, gallery, blog, and contact. Includes a fully custom PHP/MySQL CMS enabling the client to manage all content independently. SEO implementation across all pages. Responsive design via Bootstrap across mobile, tablet, and desktop.

Responsibilities

Designed the complete site architecture across 10 pages, creating wireframes and high-fidelity mockups before development, validating layout and visual identity against the cultural brief
Built the full front-end using HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, and JavaScript; implemented the back-end using PHP and MySQL with a custom-built CMS enabling the client to manage all content without developer involvement
Implemented SEO best practices across all pages and audited accessibility with Lighthouse, scoring 90/100

Key decisions

Built a custom CMS over using a third-party platform to give the client a lightweight, purpose-built interface matching their specific content types, without the overhead of a general-purpose CMS
Applied cultural imagery and colour language throughout to reflect the visual identity of the Baduy region, prioritising authenticity over generic tourism web conventions
